Wisconsin Governor Doyle speaks about PGA's economic impact
August 19th, 2010
Governor Jim Doyle is talking about the economic impact of the PGA Championship being held here in Wisconsin.
The Governor spoke to the media at Whistling Straits Golf Course this morning and reminded everyone of the money brought in by this sporting event.
Golf in Wisconsin generates 2.4-billion dollars and 40-thousand jobs annually.
The last time the PGA was here in 2004, the event pumped 76-million dollars into the Wisconsin economy.
It's hoped this year's tournament can top those numbers.
